Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Secure Card Wallet mobile application ("the App"), independently developed and operated by me, the developer ("I", "my", or "me").

Your access to and use of the App is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all users and others who access or use the App.

By accessing or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the App.

1. App Usage & Offline Nature

Secure Card Wallet is a personal wallet and document storage app. It lets you store and organise items across multiple categories — including payment cards, identity documents, travel and event passes, loyalty and gift cards, vehicle documents and insurance records — on your own device. It is designed as an offline digital wallet. This means:

• The App stores your sensitive data locally on your device.
• I do not operate servers to host, sync, or transmit your data.
• Your data is never uploaded to any cloud service automatically unless you perform a local backup and choose to store it yourself.
• Categories other than Cards are disabled by default and are enabled only if you choose to turn them on in Settings.

2. Data Loss & User Responsibility

This is the most important term in this document, and it follows directly from the App's offline design. The App stores your data locally, with no cloud backup. You are solely responsible for creating and safeguarding your own backups. I cannot recover lost data under any circumstances.

Because the App operates entirely offline, you acknowledge that:

• Local Backups: It is your sole responsibility to create and securely store backups of your data. If you delete the app, reset your device, lose your device, or your device is damaged or stolen, your data will be permanently and irretrievably lost unless you have previously exported a backup.
• No Recovery Path: I hold no copy of your data and no key to it. There is no "forgot password", no account recovery and no support process that can restore lost data, because there is no server on which it could exist.
• Backup Passwords: You are fully responsible for remembering the password you set for encrypting backups. I cannot recover lost passwords or decrypt backups for you.
• Device Security: You are responsible for maintaining the physical and digital security of the device on which the App is installed (e.g., maintaining device locks, PINs, or biometrics).
• Accuracy of Data: You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. Features that read data automatically, such as OCR scanning and NFC reading, are conveniences and may misread; you should verify any scanned values.

3. Not a Payment Service

The App stores card details for your own personal reference only. To be explicit:

• The App does not process payments or transactions of any kind.
• The App does not connect to any bank, card network, payment processor or financial institution.
• The App is not a payment service, a money transfer service, a banking service or a financial service, and it is not a substitute for one.
• Storing a card in the App does not enable you to pay with it. It is a record, in the same way that writing a number in a notebook is a record.

Nothing in the App constitutes financial, legal or tax advice.

4. Identity Documents

The App allows you to store details from identity documents such as passports, national identity cards and driving licences. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Compliance Is Your Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that your storage and use of identity document information complies with the laws of your jurisdiction. Some countries place restrictions on reproducing, storing or transmitting certain government-issued identifiers.
• Not a Legal Substitute: The App is a personal storage tool. Entries stored in the App are not valid substitutes for physical documents where an original or officially issued document is legally required, and I make no representation that any authority, carrier, venue or official will accept them.
• Your Own Documents: You should store only documents belonging to you, or documents you are lawfully authorised to hold on another person's behalf.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

The App is free to download and use. Some features are offered through an optional premium upgrade ("Pro"), available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the App before you purchase and may vary by country and over time; the price displayed at the point of purchase is the price that applies.

• Billing: All purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Google Play. I do not process, collect or have access to your payment instrument details. By making a purchase you also agree to Google Play's own terms relating to payments.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Google account is charged for renewal at the then-current price.
• Cancellation: You can cancel at any time through the Google Play Store (Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds: Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy, not by me. I do not process refunds directly and cannot override Google Play's decision on a refund request. Refund requests should be made through Google Play.
• Lifetime Purchase: The one-time lifetime purchase grants Pro access for the lifetime of the App on your Google account. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
• Changes to Pro: I may change which features are included in Pro, or change pricing for future purchases and renewals. Where a change materially reduces what you have already paid for, I will make reasonable efforts to give notice in advance.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and only to store information that you own or are lawfully authorised to hold. You agree not to use the App to store or organise data obtained unlawfully, including payment card or identity information belonging to another person without their authorisation. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to circumvent the App's security measures or premium feature gating.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. I make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation of the App or the security, accuracy, or integrity of the data stored within it.

I do not guarantee that the App will meet your specific requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, or completely error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall I (the developer), nor any associated partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, device corruption, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the App; (iii) the loss, corruption or unrecoverability of any stored data, encrypted backups or passwords; (iv) any reliance on stored data in place of an original physical document; or (v) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, my total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you actually paid me for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by law, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that the courts located in Maharashtra, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.

If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction whose law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts or to the protection of mandatory consumer provisions, nothing in this section removes that right.

10. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

11. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain my exclusive property. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of the jurisdictions. My trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without prior written consent.

12. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

13. Changes

I reserve the right, at my sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material I will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at my sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use the App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
